Hemlock Contracting is based out of Worcester MA. For many years, we have been offering our local clients in the Massachusetts Metrowest area professional renovation services.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
- Install cabinets, countertops, shelving units, and other finished carpentry products
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts using hand tools or power tools
- Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion on time and within budget
Skills:
- Proficiency in masonry work for bricklaying or stonework projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately for precise measurements and specifications
- Experience in door hanging and installation techniques
- Knowledge of restoration techniques for historical buildings or structures
- Expertise in flooring installation including hardwood, laminate, tile, or carpeting
- Ability to fabricate custom pieces such as cabinets or furniture
- Basic understanding of electrical systems for wiring or fixture installation
- Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery for precision cutting or shaping of materials
- Experience in siding installation using various materials such as vinyl, wood, or fiber cement
- Proficiency in remodeling projects including demolition, framing, drywall installation, and finishing
